A delegation from the Parliament of the Maldives has travelled to India to attend a capacity-building programme in India.
The delegation consists of 10 parliament officials who are attending the Capacity Building for Strengthening Institutions programme conducted by the Lok Sabha Secretariat of the Parliament of India from August 1-6. The programme is being conducted under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Parliamentary Cooperation signed between the two countries in 2019.
As part of the programme, the delegation will visit and observe the work conducted by the Indian parliament in New Delhi. The delegation has also met with the High Commissioner of India to the Maldives Munu Mahawar. It is the second delegation to visit the Indian parliament under the 2019 MoU.
