First phase of Kaadehdhoo harbour reconstruction completed

Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has completed the first phase of the harbour reconstruction project in Kaadehdhoo, Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll.

MTCC commenced the harbour reconstruction project in Kaadehdhoo in May. The scope of the first phase of the project involves constructing a 170m quay wall and paving an area of 890sqm. MTCC revealed the first phase of the project, which is worth USD616,000, has been completed.

Kaadedhdhoo consists of one of the most important airports in the southern region, which was developed 28 years ago. Reconstruction of Kaadehdhoo harbour began after a large part of the harbour collapsed in January this year.
