Male’ City Council and the main ruling Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) have decided to assist individuals to submit housing applications via the Gedhoruverin portal.
Male’ City council stated that it will provide assistance to applicants of the Gedhoruveriyaa and Binveriyaa schemes to fill and submit their applications before the deadline. As such, the council stated that it will establish help desks at its public service office and the Maafannu office on August 1. The applicants will be able to receive assistance at the help desks up to the deadline for submissions on September 26. The help desks will be open every weekday from 0830hrs to 1400hrs and from 2000hrs to 2200hrs.
Additionally, MDP decided to assist the applicants as part of its pledge to provide public housing. The main ruling party will be conducting special information sessions for the applicants every evening from 2000hrs to 2230hrs at the party’s hall on Chaandhanee Magu in Male’ City. MDP stated that one of its highest priorities is for as many Male’ residents to receive land and housing in the region.
