NCA to host music show in Addu City

National Centre for the Arts (NCA) has decided to host this year’s "Dhivehi Fannaanunge Miuziky Eid" show in Addu City.

This is the first time the music show is being held outside of Male’. NCA stated that it aims to provide the opportunity for musicians in the atolls to participate in such events.

Two music bands and some artists from Addu City will be participating in this year’s music show. Male’-based music bands will also be joining the show, including Traphic Jam and Equatic Vibe, along with singers and dancers.

Dhivehi Fannaanunge Miuziky Eid is the largest music show held in the Maldives that showcases the talents of the most talented and popular musicians in the country. The show is highly popular, especially among the youth, and the last few editions were held virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

This year’s show will be held in Addu City from July 27 and 28 by NCA with assistance from the Addu City Council. The main sponsors for the event are Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC), State Trading Organisation (STO), and Ooredoo Maldives.
