MIRA urges taxpayers to submit payments before July 31

Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA) has urged taxpayers to submit their statements and to make their payments before July 31.

MIRA stated that numerous deadlines will be reached on July 31, including the tax income payment and interim statement for 2022, and the Goods and Services Tax (GST) statement for June this year and the second quarter of 2021. Additionally, the deadline will also be reached for the Green Tax statement and the airport tax fee for June this year.

MIRA stated that the first interim statement for 2022 for the income tax is to be submitted by parties that were required to pay tax exceeding USD1,300 in 2021. Additionally, first-time taxpayers for 2022 are required to submit their payment before the deadline if it exceeds USD1,300. MIRA advised taxpayers to make their payments online via MIRA Connect.
