Civil Court Judge Zubair announces his resignation

Zubair Mohamed has decided to resign as a judge at the Civil Court of the Maldives.

In his resignation letter, Judge Zubair said he will be resigning on July 17 but did not provide a reason for his decision. He recently applied for a vacant position at the High Court along with several other judges. The positions were left vacant after the resignation of Judge Abdul Rauf Ibrahim and the dismissal of Judge Abdulla Hameed.

Judge Zubair was appointed to the Civil Court in 2015 while serving as a judge at the Drug Court.
