Public Service Media (PSM) has opened applications for the second round of the apprenticeship programme carried out as part of the COVID-19 Income Support Project of the Ministry of Economic Development.
Under the agreement with the economic ministry, PSM is conducting a six-month apprenticeship programme to give individuals interested in working in media the opportunity to train and gain work experience while earning a monthly compensation of USD320. The company is training apprentices in the field of journalism, TV and radio production, as well as news anchoring and presenting.
The first round of the programme began on March 29 with 16 participants in the batch. Applications have been opened for the second round of the programme, with the application deadline set as July 3.
The training programmes are being conducted by the Maldives Media Institute (MMI), which is operated under PSM.
