Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has stated that it will soon open Farukolhufushi to host events.
HDC said it will begin accepting requests to book the event space on the island from July 1 to host personal and professional events. HDC stated that it will publish the criteria and prices for event bookings within a few days and that interested parties can submit requests by filling out the applications which will be available online.
Farukolhufushi previously operated as a resort until it was connected to Hulhumale' Phase II in 2016. HDC had opened the island for events until an isolation facility was established following the worsening COVID-19 situation in the Maldives.
