Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has cleared the misconduct allegations raised against Criminal Court Judge Ahmed Shakeel.
Misconduct allegations were raised against Judge Shakeel over his handling of a case involving Mohamed Ameen, who had been detained on suspicion of spreading extremism and recruiting people for terrorist organisations. The misconduct allegations were raised after Judge Shakeel ordered to transfer Ameen to house arrest.
Following the investigation of the complaints, JSC announced Judge Shakeel has been cleared of the misconduct allegations.
