Mohamed Umar Manik re-elected as MATI Chairman

Maldives Association of Tourism Industry (MATI) has re-elected Mohamed Umar Manik as its chairman.

Manik was re-elected as chairman during the 32nd Annual General Meeting (AGM) of MATI, held at Kurumba Maldives on June 23. The meeting was attended 130 members of MATI.

During the AGM, MATI elected members to all positions of its board. As such, Hussain Afeef and Solah Shihab were elected as vice chairmen, while Ahmed Nazeer and Assad Ali were elected as the Secretary General and Deputy Secretary General respectively. Ahmed Hafeez was elected as the Financial Controller. In addition, nine more members were elected as executive board members.

MATI is the main representative body of Maldivian resorts. The board of MATI is elected for a term of one year.
