The Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has decided to train bus drivers under its skills development programme, Hunavaru.
MTCC has decided to conduct a three-month training programme for bus drivers. The participants will receive eight hours of work training per day, six days a week during official working hours. The requirements for participating in the programme include being 18 years of age, holding a B1 or B2 category license, being in good health with a willingness to work, and being a Maldivian.
MTCC said the participants will be given an allowance of USD324 per month. MTCC also said it reserves the right to not offer training based on the severity of the offense if the applicant has a criminal record.
MTCC has revealed applications can be submitted through its online job application portal. The deadline for applications is June 25.
