Gov’t to authorise healthcare facilities to manage their budget

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has revealed the administration aims to authorise healthcare facilities to manage their budget and finances. He made the remarks during a meeting with the senior management teams of healthcare facilities in Noonu Atoll.

President Solih met with the senior management teams at the Secretariat of the Holhudhoo Island Council. Discussions at the meeting focused on ways to address the challenges to ensuring quality healthcare services in the region. At the meeting, members of the management teams highlighted the positive developments in the healthcare sector led by President Solih and his administration. They also shared with the president their most pressing challenges, including budget constraints and a shortage of human resources, and discussed ways to improve healthcare services in the atoll further.

Speaking at the meeting, President Solih said the administration aims to authorise healthcare facilities to manage their budget and finances. He also said that the administration will work towards seeking amicable solutions to the concerns raised at the meeting.
