Residents of Holhudhoo, Noonu Atoll, have warmly welcomed President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih upon his arrival to the island.
President Solih is in Holhudhoo to attend a function held to mark the Diamond Jubilee of Meyna School. Holhudhoo residents have decorated the entire island to mark the 75th anniversary of the school.
The welcoming ceremony was also decorated with the official colours of the school. Members of the Holhudhoo Island Council, Women’s Development Committee (WDC), as well as heads of local institutions and residents of the island greeted President Solih upon his arrival in the island.
Shortly after his arrival, President Solih held a meeting with the Holhudhoo Island Council and WDC to discuss the most pertinent issues of the island.
