President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has stated that services are being established in Hulhumale’ Phase II for a resident population of 70,000 people.

Speaking at the ceremony to inaugurate the Raajje Transport Link (RTL) bus service, President Solih assured the administration is working to establish all essential services for the residents of Hulhumale’ Phase II. The president noted that 10,000-15,000 residents currently live in phase II and that around 40,000 residents will be moving to the Hiyaa flats. He also said that the government will be handing over 6,000 flats and 1,000 land plots in phase II, which will allow the population to grow to over 70,000 residents.

As such, President Solih said that a growing population requires better transportation and health services and more schools in Hulhumale’ Phase II. He also highlighted the need to establish more parking zones and said that work is being done to establish recreational areas for the residents, as well as swimming tracks, public toilets, and opening the beach area for picnics. He expressed confidence the work will provide ease and convenience for the growing resident population in Hulhumale’ Phase II.
