Maldives Police Service (MPS) has signed road safety partnership agreements with three companies.
The road safety partnership agreements were signed with Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC), Sheesha Private Limited and Allied Insurance Company Private Limited. The agreements were signed during a special ceremony held at Iskandhar Building on June 15.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Deputy Commissioner of Police Abdul Mannan Yoosuf said road safety is a critical component of the MPS Strategic Action Plan. As such, he said MPS attaches a special priority to reduce road accidents and minimise damages from such accidents.
The partnership agreements were signed for a duration of one year. Under the agreements, the companies will undertake joint initiatives with MPS to create public awareness on road safety.
