Over 100,000 Indian tourists arrive to Maldives so far

The Ministry of Tourism has revealed more than 100,000 tourists have arrived in the Maldives from India so far this year.

According to the Ministry of Tourism's latest Tourism Update report, India is the Maldives' most popular tourist destination. As of June 8, 104,800 tourists from India had visited the Maldives, accounting for 14.3 percent of overall tourist arrivals for the period.

India is a significant tourist destination for the Maldives. As a result, India was the source of the highest number of tourists in the Maldives last year. However, the Maldives received the most number of tourists from Russia earlier this year.

Many airlines operate flights between the Maldives and India, as the number of visitors visiting the Maldives from India continues to rise. Vistara Airlines, Air India, and Go Airlines are among them.

According to statistics, the UK is the second most popular tourist destination in the Maldives, with 90,394 visitors, while Russia is the third most popular country, with 70,212 visitors.
