The Maldives National University (MNU) has conducted a Job Festival with more than 30 employers across the public and private sector.
The aim of the MNU Job Festival was to provide information on the opportunities available in the current employment market, and to encourage more people to apply for the jobs. The festival had stalls from over 30 employers, including Public Service Media (PSM), Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC), Male’ Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC), Dhiraagu, Ooredoo, and Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) as well as some government ministries and resorts.
Deputy Vice Chancellor of MNU Dr. Aishath Shehenaz Adam stated the role of a university does not end with simply providing a higher education. She noted MNU strives to educate and train individuals for the jobs that available and needed for the country. She said purpose of conducting such a festival is to show the available opportunities in the employment market for individuals seeking jobs.
