The Foreign Service Institute of the Maldives (FOSIM) has held a session on the foreign policy of the Maldives for students undertaking the Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and International Relations at the Maldives National University (MNU).
A total of 21 students from the MNU participated in the session. The interactive session focused on further enhancing the knowledge of students on foreign policy, and foreign policy goals of Maldives.
FOSIM revealed the session was conducted as part of its school /university outreach programme, which is designed to create awareness and generate interest in youth in embracing the foreign service as a career. The programme also facilitates senior foreign service officers to share knowledge and experience in various subject areas.
Foreign Secretary of the Maldives Ahmed Latheef interacted with the students during the session where he shared his insights and experience in the foreign service. The session was conducted by senior officials of the ministry.
