The Child and Family Protection Service has conducted awareness sessions in Kaafu Atoll School on prevention of bullying and ensuring the safety of children.
The sessions were conducted for teachers, students and parents of Kaafu Atoll School. The sessions were conducted by Director General of the Child and Family Protection Service Aminath Rishmy Amir and Child Protection Officer Fathimath Saniha Solih.
During the sessions, parents shared their concerns in relation to the safety of children and discussed on ways to address the issues. Furthermore, teachers also shared their concerns regarding current problems faced in the school environment.
The Child and Family Protection Service was established in March 2020 under the Child Rights Protection Act. The agency is mandated with the responsibilities of protecting all children from discrimination, bias, harm, cruel punishment, neglect and physical and emotional abuse.
