IGMH probes Villimale’ Hospital for administering expired vaccines

Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) has revealed that it is investigating a case of negligence in which staff at the Villimale’ Hospital had administered expired vaccines to children.

In a press release, IGMH stated it has begun a serious investigation with the Health Protection Agency (HPA) after being informed of the incident that occurred at Villimale’ Hospital, which is operated under IGMH.

Furthermore, IGMH stated that it will penalise those responsible for negligence and take all the necessary steps to ensure that such incidents will not be repeated in the future. It also stated that administration of vaccines has been temporarily halted at Villimale’ Hospital.
