Agro National Corporation (AgroNat) has revealed that it will complete the establishment of nine distribution centres in various parts of the country by July.
Speaking to PSM News, Manager of Business Development Hassan Afsal said that currently agricultural products are shipped directly to the Greater Male’ Region but the distribution centres will allow farmers to sell their products to local markets. He said the distribution centres will consist of an office, cold storage area, and other areas to store fruits and vegetables.
Furthermore, Afsal said the centres will also store agricultural equipment and resources. He added that two of the distribution centres have been built and that all of the nine centres will be fully functional by July.
