The seventh edition of the HafthaaRes programme has commenced in Felidhoo, Vaavu Atoll.
The HafthaaRes programme is conducted by the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment, in association with the National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC). The aim of the programme is to facilitate the relevant institutions and authorities to come together with the public to work towards resolving social issues and building a resilient society.
The seventh edition of the programme was officially inaugurated by the President of Vaavu Atoll Council Shujau Ali. Speaking at the opening ceremony, Shujau Ali said hosting the programme would bring many social benefits to Vaavu Atoll, noting it would enable the atoll community to come together to address and resolve the issues currently faced by residents of the atoll.
This is the third HafthaaRes programme to be conducted this year, with the first two being held in Fuvahmulah City and Veymandoo, Thaa Atoll.
