Chief Justice Ahmed Muthasim Adnan has highlighted the importance of serving the nation upon completing education. He made the remarks while speaking as the chief guest at the 2022 convocation ceremony of the Islamic University of the Maldives (IUM).
Speaking at the ceremony, Chief Justice Adnan said national service should be a top priority for all graduates. He also highlighted the importance of determination and discipline when undertaking a service towards the nation.
A total of 1,322 students graduated from IUM this year across various levels of courses, including certificate level, diploma level, associate degree, bachelor’s degree, postgraduate diploma, master’s degree and PhD courses. 65% of all IUM graduates this year were female students.
