President returns from an official trip to the UAE

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has returned to the Maldives upon the conclusion of his official visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The president visited the UAE to convey his condolences and sympathies to the family of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the late President of the UAE, Emir of Abu Dhabi, and Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces. Sheikh Khalifa passed away on May 13 at the age of 73.

During the visit to the UAE, President Solih met with the new President of the UAE Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and congratulated him on his appointment. He wished the new president of the UAE success in carrying out his duties.
