Former High Court Judge Sameer appointed as Deputy PG

Former High Court Judge Ali Sameer has been appointed as the Deputy Prosecutor General (PG).

Ali Sameer attained his Bachelor’s Degree in Shari’ah and Law from the Al-Azhar University in Egypt, before completing his Master’s Degree IN Comparative Law at the International Islamic University of Malaysia. He had served as a judge at the High Court from March 26, 2011 to April 17, 2022.

With his appointment as Deputy PG, Sameer joins Mahmood Saleem in this position. In addition to two deputy PGs, the Prosecutor General’s Office (PGO) has four Assistant PGs.
