MWSC begins Kendhoo water and sewerage project

Male' Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC) has begun the project to establish a water and sewerage system in Kendhoo, Baa Atoll.

Giving details on the project, MWSC said it is now working to bury the main pipe of the system, adding that 50% of the work is now completed. MWSC will establish a 5.26km water network on the island. Moreover, the building to place the two reverse osmosis plants to generate water and two storage units is near completion, MWSC noted. The company also revealed a sewerage network of 4.88km, 556m pumping line, two pump stations, and one sea outfall will be established as part of the project.

Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure contracted the project to MWSC at a cost of USD3.64 million.
