Business Centre Corporation (BCC) is seeking a contractor to develop the SME Park in Hulhumale’.
BCC plans to contract a company to construct a six-storey building in a land plot spanning 5,000sqft in Hulhuamel’ under a design-and-build policy. BCC stated the SME Park will be built for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to establish their businesses, under the initiative of the Ministry of Economic Development.
SME Park will include space for SMEs to conduct their businesses as well as storage units and a packaging facility to ship products within the Maldives and abroad. The park will also allow businesses in the agricultural and fisheries sector to produce value-added products.
BCC was established in 2019 under the economic ministry with the mandate of operating business centres in different regions. There are currently 11 business centres across the country, tasked with implementing the government’s policies to promote and assist SMEs.
