The Civil Service Commission of the Maldives (CSC) has revealed that 40 employees in different institutions have departed to India to participate in a training programme funded by the Government of India.
The participants of the training programme include employees working at the managerial levels of ministries, schools and council offices. CSC said the Training Programme in Field Administration for Civil Servants of Maldives will include information sessions on the Civil Service of India, economic, social, environmental and various policies.
The training is being held from May 8-21. The first week of the training trip will be spent at Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy Of Administration in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand. The academy is the headquarters for training civil servants of India. The second week of training will be hosted in New Delhi. During the visit, participants will visit cultural sites in Mussoorie and New Delhi.
The training programme is being carried out under the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the National Centre for Good Governance (NCGG) and the CSC in 2019 aimed toward the capacity building of 1,000 civil servants from the Maldives over the next five years. This is the 11th batch to participate in the training programme.
