Bank of Maldives (BML) has announced the successful completion of a barbecue area in Kaashidhoo, Kaafu Atoll. The project was assisted by BML under its Community Fund which focuses on empowering individuals to contribute to society through sustainable community projects.
The area is equipped with barbecue grills, tables, chairs, and benches, according to the BML. The space also has a relaxing area specially designed for senior citizens. BML said the aim of the project is to create a space to strengthen relations and bring the community together. The winner of the project, Mohamed Visaah expressed hope the space is useful for the community and those visiting the island.
The Community Fund is a programme to empower individuals and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) to contribute to their communities through sustainable projects. BML has financially supported 65 projects across the country since the introduction of the Community Fund.
