Eurowings begins scheduled flights to the Maldives

The German airline Eurowings has commenced scheduled flights to the Maldives.

Eurowings began operating scheduled flights to the Maldives on April 24. The airline is scheduled to operate three flights per week between Frankfurt, Germany and Velana International Airport (VIA). The airline will use Airbus A330-200 aircraft for its flights to the Maldives.

Germany is currently the 4th top source market of tourists to the Maldives. As per the statistics of the tourism ministry, 47,287 tourists have visited the Maldives from Germany so far this year.
