Health Protection Agency (HPA) has revealed its call centre will only be available during official hours.
HPA said its 1676 call centre provided 24 hours services since November 24. However, the service will now be available during official hours, the agency added. HPA said online doctor consultations for patients who tested positive for COVID-19 will also be stopped following the change.
HPA has requested those who test positive for COVID-19 in the Greater Male' Region to contact the nearest hospital for medical treatment. HPA has also instructed those who need emergency treatment to contact emergency medical services by dialing 100.
HPA has lifted several precautionary measures against COVID-19 in the Maldives. A total of 178,000 cases of COVID-19 have been detected in Maldives with 298 deaths.
