Contracts awarded for development of multipurpose halls in three schools

Ministry of Education has awarded contracts for the development of multipurpose halls in three different schools in the atolls.

The contracts were awarded for the development of multipurpose halls in Makunudhoo School in Haa Dhaalu Atoll, Innamaadhoo School in Raa Atoll and Madifushi School in Thaa Atoll. The contracts were signed by Minister of Education Dr. Aishath Ali and the officials from the respective contractors.

Development of a multipurpose hall in Makunudhoo School was contracted to Aim Construction Private Limited at a price of USD777,000, to be completed within one year. The project in Innamaadhoo School was also contracted to the same company, at a price of USD712,000, to be completed within 11 months. The project in Madifushi School was contracted to Pawarey Investment Private Limited, at a price of USD582,000, to be completed within 11 months.

The government is undertaking several projects across the atolls to increase the capacity of schools. As such, multiple projects are being carried out in to develop extension buildings, multipurpose halls and additional classrooms in several schools.
